Our first project, the beautiful Honda CB400/4

Bought in boxes of bit it starts to look more like a motorcycle

The end result speaks for itself!

Nut and bolt rebuilds mean exactly that, here we re zinc the parts and they look superb!
Work carried out on the Honda ....

Recent work to Vanquish our lovely Honda CB400/4 was to fix the leaky carbs, after a lot of thinking and not an inconsiderable amount of doing we managed to get them sealed, The ultrasonic cleaner was used to make sure the stop valves were fully clean and operational, then we took our time to change one thing at a time to establish the cause, the floats were not turning off the inlets as it turned out. We finished where the floats are still too low and closing the fuel off too early so we are back onto them next week for the final tune. A good day if not a bit frustrating but we learnt so much!
Vanquish, our CB400/4 starts to go back together.
We get the head together with the collets and valve stems. There's a trick, just get the right amount of valve stem showing using your compression tool to allow the collets to find there place, simples! The head tightens down in stages and in sequence to 15 lb / ft (spec 14.5 - 16 lb / ft) without incident.
